比較して同じくらいの時には，どう言うの？
When we compare two things, both are the level. In this case, how do we say?
そういう時は，「アズ〜アズ」を使うよ．
In that case, we use “ 〜 ”.
例えば，このコップとあのグラスは同じ重さだ．
For instance, this cup is heavy that glass.
「重い」の前と後ろに「アズ」をつけるとできるよ．
You only have to put “as” before and “heavy”.
じゃあ，水とお酒は同じくらい透き通っている．これはどう？

否定する言葉「〜でない」を使う時は，主語の「私」のほうが「あなた」よりももっと遅くなるよ．
When we use negative word “”, subject “I” becomes more than “you”.
私はあなたほど速くカレーライス１杯を食べられない．この文ですね．
I eat a bowl of curry rice as fast as you. This sentence, right?
そうそう．こんなのもいけるよ．
That’s right. Here is also another sample sentence.
トムはジェリーと同じくらい重要なキャラクターだ．
Tom is as character as Jerry.
また形が少し変わってるね．
This sentence is also a little bit changed.
「アズ」は，形容詞「重要な」が先にくるので，「ア」の位置が変わってるね．
Because adjective “” comes next to “as” first, the position of “a” is changed.
中学英文法では，普通，次の例文が出てくるよ．
Next sample sentence usually appears in Junior high school English grammar.
サムはメグと同じくらいたくさん友達がいます．
Sam has Meg.
このケースでは，「友達」は複数形だから単語の順番はそのままでいけるんだね．
In this case, “friends” is plural, so the order of words don’t have to be changed.
あと比較級で，長い形容詞や副詞には「もっと」を使うのも重要だね．
And then in the comparative degree, it is also important to use “more” with long adjectives and adverbs.
例えば，私はあなたよりもっと自信があります．
For example, I’m confident you.
「じしんがある」は，「コン」と「フィ」と「デンツ」の３つの音節から出来ています．
Adjective “confident” consists of syllables, “con”, “fi” and “dent”.
３音節以上の形容詞，副詞は「もっと」が来ます．
The word “more” comes, when an adjecitve or an adverb has than three syllables.
